All Membership

All memberships fees (Junior, Senior, Associate and Community) are paid annually via the Orewa Surf Life Saving Club website and are for the current season which is 1 July - 30 June each year. New Junior, Senior and Associate members are required to complete a one-off free of charge SLSNZ Membership application.

2025-2026 Junior Membership

Please note that our 25-26 Junior Membership Registrations are now closed. 26-27 Junior Membership Registrations will open 1 July 2026.

Requirements

• Junior Membership is for children aged 3-13 years.

• Children must be at least 3 years of age before 1 October in the year of the commencement of the season.

• New members are required to complete SLSNZ Membership.

• All Junior Memberships require at least one parent or guardian to complete SLSNZ Membership and must stay at trainings, including at the beach at the Sunday Sessions.
  
  

Includes

• Membership includes participation in our Sunday Sessions during the warmer months (November - Easter Weekend) and opportunities to be involved in weekday beach and pool training throughout the season. Please note that a pool lane training fee and carnival entries are an extra cost.

Junior Fees

• $160.00 1 Child & 1-2 Parents/caregivers

• $260.00 2 Children & 1-2 Parents/caregivers

• $280.00 3+ Children & 1-2 Parents/caregivers

• $ 30.00 Additional Equipment Levy for children 7-13 Years of age

2025-2026 Senior Membership

Requirements

• Senior Membership is for members 14 years and over.

• New members are required to complete SLSNZ Membership.

Includes

• Membership includes being part of a Patrol Team and Senior & Master Pool Competitors.

Sport Fee

• The Senior Sport Fee is additional to membership and is for all members training and/or partaking in competitive lifesaving, even if not competing.
  A Sport Fee does not need to be paid if just competing in pool events.

Senior Fees

• $ 60.00 Senior Membership Only

• $175.00 Senior Sport Fee Only

• $ 35.00 Surf Lifeguard Award (This is a one off fee which includes your training, manual, workbook and exam)

2025-2026 Associate Membership

Associate Membership is for anyone who has an interest in being a part of the Club. Associate Membership is $5 per person and is for the current season 1 July - 30 June each year. You can pay for your Associate Membership via the Orewa Club website online shop. Please note that Associate members must also register with SLSNZ who will allocate a SLSNZ membership number. SLSNZ registration is free of charge.

2025-2026 Community Membership

A Community Membership is for anyone who has an interest in supporting the club through social and fundraising activities held at the Club Cafe. Community Membership is $5 per person and is for the current season 1 July - 30 June each year. You can pay for your Community Membership via the Orewa Club website online shop. SLSNZ Registration is not required.

How to Join

Step 1 Complete Surf Life Saving New Zealand (SLSNZ) Membership

• All new Junior, Senior & Associate members are required to complete a one-off application for SLSNZ Membership via the SLSNZ website.

• If you are registering a Junior, a parent is also required to join.  Each member of the family wishing to join, must complete SLSNZ membership.

• Community members are not required to complete SLSNZ Membership, only payment is required, which can be processed via the Ōrewa Club website online shop.

• Membership renewals do not require completion of SLSNZ membership, membership is renewed via the Ōrewa Club website online shop.
